I love the Friday’s that are slow but I love this one more because I am at home, watching t.v.! There is nothing like a lazy friday!! : ) The good news is that I have nothing to do all other than rest and relax! I finally received word about my Africa application! I did not make the trip but I was put on the alternate list. I’m not sure how long the list is so I’m seeing that as a closed door but most importantly I see a new door opening. The one good thing my graduate mentor always said, was let someone else tell you what you can’t do. At least you know you did everything you could do. I think my disease played a big part in being put on the alternate list! That is the one sad thing for me, is that I do believe that people with my disease get judged based on that and not on what they can actually do. But knowing that hopefully one day we can make some major changes in how people treat those with the invisible diseases!
I’m excited for Verge tomorrow night! This going to be Matt’s and my first meeting with them! A room full of college students is going to be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
