The countdown to Africa, 23 days! I was working out this afternoon at my gym and I could not help but think about the fact that in about 23 days I will be around the world. I am getting more and more excited as the days draw closer! Soon I will be on a plane to another city and then soon another country. There is always something about traveling to another country that is so exciting. I do not know if it is the new people, the architecture, the language, the customs, or the way of life. It is just so cool to realize that there really is another world that goes on every day just like us!
I think this trip is keeping me focused and going through these days at work! I am not regretful in any way that this week I do not have an interivew. The good news is that I finished another application! HURRAY!! I finished my TAMU Higher Ed application, now I only have one more left. Matt and I talked and around December or so I am going to send out another application to SAM. This one will be for the LPC track program. Yes it will be another MA but it will get me in line for the LPC license and that will allow me to counsel.
My second goal for this year is to start working on my ADEC CT certification so I can be a grief therapist! That means LOTS AND LOTS of work! After I come back from Africa I need to spend a lot of time every night on this certification. I need to make sure I do that versus chilling with my computer and TV :).
I am off to study the meaning of my name! That is my homework assignment for my bible study! I have to say I am blessed not only by some awesome colleagues that keep me sane!! If they read my randomness I am sure they know who they are! 🙂
Let’s see what Joanna means….
