One Year Anniversary

It was about a year ago, I was fresh out of spending 13 miserable days in the hospital. My body felt broken! I had just experienced some of the worst health my body had ever been through. Starting with an allergic reaction to an antibiotic then being perscribed heart medicine, asthma medicine, fibromyalgia medicine, oral and IV steroids, IV antibiotics, and so on! I was miserable!

But the one thing I realized was that I could not make this RALF journey alone! I need to find like-minded people….people who could support me, understand me, and help me learn how to remain positive through this journey! So I created a webpage…thinking that probably no one would care to read it….because what did I have to blog about??? Then I started a FB page too…to try and reach people who do not blog…

I started this blog for me and to be honest….it is the best therapy ever! You are probably tired of reading some of the thoughts…but for me it is so helpful! It is helpful because I am living life with RA, Fibro and Lupus..and I am still positive.

Since last year this time:

-I am still here fighting my RALF

– I flew two days to Rwanda, Africa. Spent 10 days there and then traveled back.

-I went to Disney World

-I got accepted into a doctoral program

It has been a year….I will say I am certainly looking forward to the next year and the next year! 🙂

  1. Your accomplishments despite these terrible invisible diseases that eat away at your moral psyche because of the incredible pain, medication reactions and overall stress levels that accompany anyone faced with chronic pain, inflammatory and autoimmune conditions, are something you feeling so proud. I am impressed. Keep up the fight, and keep staying positive! You are an inspiration.

  2. Wow, hard to believe its been a year but in other ways, it seems so much longer. Its been a long journey for you. Amazing the things you continue to accomplish in spite of the nasty RA. You are an inspiration!
