Well!! I have had this blog going on in my head since Thursday night…of course I had to get sick!! I have literally spent Friday night, Saturday, and tonight either in my bed or on my couch. I had a major fibro flare…my body just was in such pain and then what might be an RA flare in my back. Until now I wouldn’t say I had RA in my back or neck….but after this weekend I am not sure. I could barely move…my back was in such a pain. I was laying on a heating pad, taking hot shower, and applying the ointment to help ease some of the pain.
It didn’t really work….but the rest did help. I woke up this afternoon and I will say I feel a little better mentally (not as foggy). The positive news…I did get homework done!!! Thankfully this week was a lot of reading so I focused on that. I have more to read here shortly but I pushed myself to study. I found it takes a lot of determination to study when you feel like -20 on a scale of 1-10. I will say this has been one of the worst weekends ever!!
But positive thinking!! I am resting, I am studying, and I am blogging 🙂 Which brings me to some awesome news!! As you probably see on the side bar. I am now blogging and bringing awareness to the amazing things that one of my favorite organizations does…this is the World Help (http://worldhelp.net/). I was blessed to travel with World Help to Rwanda back in 2011. It was a life changing journey! I cannot wait for the opportunity to travel with them again. World Help raises awareness to various humanitarian needs such as the current crisis in Syria, the needs in Haiti, orphanages in Africa, and many other things . I am so excited to share tidbits of what they do, stories of what is going on with them, and maybe even one day my experience of another World Help trip.
Next time I will share more about my Rwanda experience, and more pictures too. Africa was an amazing place! I cannot wait to go back 🙂 I am so excited for some thing new and positive to do with my life. As those who have been reading this for a while know…I am an encourager…. I love to work with people. World Help is an amazing way to reach those facing major humanitarian crisis! I definitely encourage you to check them out!!
Now off to balance some more!! I realized this weekend…balance wow is critical!! Sleep is critical. I had a routine when I was working part time, now that I am full time I have to make a new routine. This reminds me of when I was working on my MA, I had just been diagnosed and I was working full time. That time I ended up in hospital for 14 days! So this time around my goal is to avoid that MAJOR medical bill!! 🙂
I send you spoons and positive thoughts!! Hang in there! Fight for another day!! 🙂
